The following decisive professional regulations apply: the Federal Lawyer Ordinance (Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung, BRAO), the Lawyer Remuneration Law (Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz, RVG), the Professional Rules for Lawyers (Berufsordnung für Rechtsanwälte, BORA), the Professional Regulations for Lawyers in the European Union (CCBE). These regulations are valid for lawyers practicing in the Federal Republic of Germany and are available on the homepage of the federal law society under the column "occupational right" (www.brak.de). The lawyer of the Mercatius business law firm has acquired her professional designation in the Federal Republic of Germany and is authorized to practice there.

The legal services are performed according to the regulations of mandate- and renumeration-agreements
which are concluded individually with the clients.
